Editing Photos

When it comes to getting a final look on a photo there is many steps involved in a photograph. Many times individuals see a finished photo and do not realize all the work I have put into getting that photo to look that way.

Let's take for starters this photo....

I edited this with cropping, color enhancing, vignette, and some blurring around edges. This helped to get a finished result of this....

Here is another example of a photo I took...
I edited this by cropping, color enhancing, vignetting, cloning, sharpening, graduated tinting, and blooming. This was the finished resulted....
Now for the most difficult part to combine these two photos. There is a lot of work that goes into doing this. I have to use many custom tools, do cropping, copying, magic selection layering, pasting, erasing, blurring, color enhancing, blooming, sharpening, graduated tinting, and setting properties of the tools I use to get these effects. Once finished I end up with this...
A PHOTO YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH!! :)

Father's Day!!

Father's Day was a fun time for daddy this year. I decided to make a special present for him. This meant lots of photographing time. We did a little bit of western pics, some "Blues Brothers" photos, and a few other odd and ends. The kids even got to beat on daddy in some. It was a lot of fun and I got to put together two great gifts for him.

Fairy Princess

I got the chance to try out my more "girlie" props recently on my niece Gabrielle. She is such a cutie, and was so much fun to photograph. Her mother just LOVED these photos. So I thought I might share a few with you! She looked adorable dressed up like a little Fairy Princess!

Western Photos

I recently purchased some new backdrops, and props for my Photography business. My baby sister loved the hats and offered to pose for pictures for me. I must say that she was a great model. She's a very beautiful young lady with a great complexion, so of course these "Western themed" photos turned out wonderful having her as a model for them. On the left is one of my favorites out of all the photographs I took. It was an "innocent" smile I took while she was playing with my window blinds.

On this picture I used purple for two reasons. Purple happened to go well with her shirt since it had purple in it, plus with her dark complexion the purple looked really nice behind her. Another reason....purple happens to be her favorite color. People tend to glow a little more I think when they are around colors they love.

With this picture I used the nice solid black background. It's great for basically any type of photograph. I just love how she is looking down with her hand rested on her hand, and with the hat slightly covering her eyes. Gives that sultry look to the photo. The black and white just adds to the feel of that "naughty western girl"

Here are a few photos with my oldest two children I took of her. They are very precious, and show how even children can have fun with these style poses. Children really tend to love dress-up, and this allows them to do that...plus you get some terrific photographs in the process.

When in doubt...there's always time for fun in photos. I just love making sure that the photos I take are going to be ones that people will love for a lifetime. I have already had so much fun with these "Western" photos.....and would love to take even more.

Outdoor Time!

Now is the perfect time for outdoor/nature photos. Which flowers blooming everywhere, and the sun shining. I couldn't resist using this chance to take take some scenery photographs and outdoor fun pics. My first picture is of the two horses next to my mother's house. I felt it was a beautiful photograph of them grazing. The next two photographs are of my oldest two children, Lucas and Brandon, playing outdoors together. I love photographing them. They are very photogenic.

These two photos are of the flowers blooming around my mother's home. They naturally grow wild, and make her home look even more beautiful during spring time.

These next photos are some great spur of the moment pictures. The first is of my Uncle Corey and my husband laughing. Anytime you can get a natural smile it makes for a great photograph. The next two photographs are of my oldest son, Lucas, and my youngest son, Zander, when they were playing and rolling down a hill.

These four photographs are of the trees around my mother's house. They were in full bloom. Apple trees look beautiful when the flowers have bloomed all over them, so I couldn't resist the opportunity to take some pictures.

These next photos are of my youngest son, Zander, enjoying the outdoors. He's an adorable little boy, and too cute not to photograph.
