It's Official!!

So today I got my business license, and have at least two sessions set up. A wedding and a family session. Possibly another family session also. Just seeing the work I have done so far and when people find out how reasonable my prices are they want to set up sessions. It's very exciting! Here are some more recent and better photos I have taken. I hope that you enjoy seeing them as much as I did taking them...

These two photographs are of my nephew, Ethan. His mother, Amy, has me sit him each day. This allows me perfect opportunity to take some adorable pictures of him. He is definitely a cutie, with a great smile.

My husband, Norman, is the subject in this photo. He told me before this photograph that I shouldn't use him for pictures because he doesn't take photographs well. I told him that he could take nice photographs, and that we would just see who was right when I was finished. I have to say that I think I won this disagreement. Ha ha.

These are photographs of my middle son, Brandon. He's a favorite of many people because of his sweet-hearted personality. I feel that is captured well in these photos.

My oldest son, Lucas, is very photogenic. I love working with him. He's very patient and allows me to take as many photos as I want, and in as many different poses as I like. He's a perfect subject for any photographer to work with.

These photos are of my baby boy, Zander. He's a little sweet heart, and great to take pictures of. I always enjoy photographing him.

Just Starting Out

I am just starting a blog for my photography, so please bare with me while I gradually get more of my work loaded. I have found some very great "models" to try out my new camera with, so let's start by getting the photos up of them.

My first photos are of my oldest two children, Lucas and Brandon. They were very patient and cooperative for me. I got some terrific pics. I love how well they listen for photo sessions with mommy.

 

This next picture was taken after my new deck was built. I decided on a nice black and white look. They gave me a cute "buddy brother" pose, which I feel shows their personalities. I also edged this with a slight blurring around the edges, and a graying so to draw more attention to the boys. Outside photos are great. Can't pass up opportunities to use natural lighting!



This next photo is a favorite of many people. I have done this picture in many styles. The "brotherly love" concept is a great moment to capture. And for this one they were looking right into each others eyes...smiling. What a better moment for a photo is there?!?! This is definitely one of those times that black and white is perfect. No need for color to draw away from the moment, but the moment itself to take notice of alone.

I have to say these next few photos are great!! They are photographs of my newest nephew, Carter. Such an adorable child, and very photogenic!

Here is a beautiful photo that I took and edited of Carter and my mother, Jennifer. Grandma loves her grand babies!

Here is some with my baby boy, Zander. I just LOVE taking pics of him. He has the BLUEST eyes I have ever seen, and a smile that can light up a room!

Here is some more beautiful photographs I captured. They are of my boys, my sister Cassandra, my niece Alissa, my nephew Michael, my other nephew Ethan, and my husband. I also took some pictures of my friend Stacy, and her daughters.
